Deep red colour. Ripe nose of matured fruits.
Grape varieties: Single Northern Rhône grape variety : Syrah.
Age of the vines: 30 years
Terroir: In the south of the Saint-Joseph appellation. Selection of a plot named Lautaret. It’s a granitic crest which overhangs the Rhône valley.
Winemaking: Manual harvest, cooling of the grapes during 12h at 13° C. 85 % destemming, thermoregulated vats. 18 to 25-day vatting at 30-32° C. 12-month ageing in casks of 228 liters (20 % new oak).
Tasting: Deep red colour. Ripe nose of matured fruits. Concentrated mouth with elegant and tight tannins. Long finish.
Food pairings: Red meat, casserole, grilled meat, game.
Serving temperature: 18°C
Ageing potential: 8 to 10 years
