Auzan Rouge

AOP Costières de Nîmes

Bright garnet colour. Full taste with a good fruity and spicy structure. Serve slightly chilled to exude a long, warm taste with supple tannins.
Grape varieties: 40% Syrah, 30% Mourvèdre, 30% Grenache
Age of the vines: 25 years
Yield: 50 hl/ha
Terroir: Rolled pebbles from the Durance river (which flowed through the valley well before the Rhône).
Winemaking: Cooling of the harvest. Pre-fermentation period of 3 days. Delestages (rack and return) and thermo-regulated fermentation.
Tasting: Bright garnet colour. Full taste with a good fruity and spicy structure. Serve slightly chilled to exude a long, warm taste with supple tannins.
Food pairings: Barbecue, T-bone steak, lamb chops, “cévenole” chitterlings sausage, matured cheese.
Serving temperature: between 16°C and 18°C
Ageing potential: 5 years
