Le Grenache

Vin de liqueur

Mellow, not too syrupy, with notes of cherry, fig and cocoa.
Grape varieties: 100% Grenache
Age of the vines: + 50 years
Yield: 35 hl/ha
Terroir: Rolled pebbles from the Durance river (which flowed through the valley well before the Rhône).
Winemaking: Controlled temperature fermentation stopped by the addition of 5 % wine spirit when merely 85g/l of non-fermented sugar remains. 3-year barrel ageing.
Tasting: Garnet red colour with hints of brick red. Notes of cherry, fig and cocoa. Mellow, not too syrupy, with elegant tannins.
Food pairings: Aperitif, Roquefort, chocolate dessert, nougat ice cream…
Serving temperature: between 8°C and 10 °C
Ageing potential: 4 to 10 years
